The Walk

In 2024, Westpac Walk for a Cure will offer a 10km and 21km walk option in Sydney and Adelaide.

This year, Westpac Walk for a Cure is a challenging and beautiful 10km or 21km walk in Sydney and Adelaide. The course will be fully marked and there will be plenty of route marshals to help you on the day.

21km walkers will  enjoy a ‘grab and go’ brunch midway through the walk with both 10km and 21km grabbing a snack at the re-energize station. All walkers will arrive at the Sydney CBD / Glenelg finale celebration with snacks and drinks.

Walk for a Cure is a fantastic opportunity to spend the day out with your colleagues, being active and connecting around a meaningful and worthwhile cause.  It’s not a race and you can rest as much as you like during the day.

Alternatively you may take part in Move for a Cure by donating to your colleagues or join the Virtual event and walk 10km or 21km in your own time, any day in March whilst raising funds for cancer research.

Teams

Training and fundraising is more fun with friends.  Get your colleagues together and form a team so you can train and fundraise together.  Select your team captain and make sure they register first with your team’s name.  Then have the rest of the team register and simply ‘join’ your team.

When choosing a team name, think of something unique and please remember you are representing Westpac Group.

We need support crew!

If you would like to be involved but can’t manage a 10km or 21km, we’d love to have you join the team as a member of the support crew.  We need bike marshals, checkpoint marshals, catering support and lots more so please sign up if you’re keen, you can check out the different roles here. Being part of the support crew is a rewarding and unforgettable experience!

Please note some of the support crew roles require a start time from 7.15am.
